Celebration of Learning 236/14/2023 As a whole, the Art Show went okay. Personally after thinking about my independent project for a little while I do not like it as much as I did before. This hindered my thoughts on the art show especially my piece due to the fact I felt like it was lacking considering the other art pieces. The other pieces and shows were nicely put together and well done. I believe that the art show went okay for me but better for the group. I would add more details and use different material for my show the fact my show seemed boring. I believe I have grown as a photographer and graphic designer. This is shown by my Calgary photos and magazine being way better than last year.

Halfway Point.3/29/2023 We are halfway through this year's independent project. This year I've decided to create some architectural dioramas. In the first week and a half, I drew up some plans of how I wanted the dioramas to look. I have spent the remaining time building the dioramas using foam board. This project has had a lot of ups and downs; slanted cuts, measuring incorrectly, and gluing the wrong pieces together. However, I have enjoyed this project substantially more than last year's independent project. I feel like I can be more creative and not locked into one thing. I have run into some trouble with inspiration, especially with my larger diorama. The inspiration has run out with the drawings and the building aspect of the diorama. I have been putting it off and focusing on the other two dioramas. Other than the slight troubles, I am enjoying this project quite a bit and hoping to do something bigger next year.
Halfway on this Independent Journey4/1/2022 We are halfway done, I did not think this project would be going this fast. When I was planning, I thought that each section would take ten days to complete like the photography and editing. My plan was on the 20th day, I would have finished the photography, the editing, and just starting the interviews for the magazine. It is now the 17th day and finished all of the photography, editing, and have finished a third of the interviews. This project has been going faster and smoother than I thought I also have been very effective with my time. It has been very interesting seeing what each person brings in as a prop and the learning the stories, meaning, and significance of them. I have learned a lot about portrait photography it has been a step-up from my last work, I have learned how to change the settings for the appropriate light situation, and what to edit. This project has been a very informational, interesting, and meaningful project. It has been meaningful and interesting learning about these stories and the meaning behind these props. I have learned alot about people, portraits, and photography itself. I am excited for the rest of this project, what it holds, and what stories I will hear.
In Chaos Lies Beauty.12/17/2021 My first blog, my first art show, there are lots of firsts this year. The Celebration of Learning was the first art show I have had. It went really well. I had lots of fun meeting new people, showing my art, and hanging out with my friends. I was filled with lots of energy and had loads of excitement during the show; I was bouncing off the walls from sugar and also from how fun it was. The whole art show was chaotic but in chaos art and beauty blooms. There were lots of people confused about where to go at the start but it was quickly relieved. A lot of people showed up it was in weird spurts of no one and every parent. Despite the confusion and craziness, it went really well and I had lots of fun. One single thing I would change is that the artists stand by their art and talk and explain to people, I did that for a bit and I enjoyed it. After the day ended I was tired and relieved it was finished and excited for the future.
